Encounters at the End of the World

Encounters at the End of the World is a documentary about Werner Herzog, as he travels to Antarctica to capture the true and unknown beauty of it's landscape.
It's not just ano
ther movie about penguins, people! It shows all scale of life. Yes, it does have a five minute (or less) segment on penguins, but it goes beyond that. They show one penguin who can't make up his mind whether to go to the feeding ground or the mating area. He just stands there for a while, until he looks behind him and sees the mountains. He then turns towards them and waddles off with his fins stretched out behind him like a cartoon villain from the 1950's.
Oh! and did you know that there is a whole city down there? Yeah! It has cafes, bowling alleys, construction, etc. A whole City full of strange and interesting people. One of which was a young filmmaker who couldn't make it anywhere else, so he headed down to Antarctica to become an ice cream scooper. So, if I can't make it in the industry, you'll know where to find me.
So, in the end, this movie is fantastic. Be careful to not believe everything Herzog says, cause he cuts certain things out and basically summarizes his own thoughts on the matter. But, it's nothing compared to Super Size Me, so you'll be fine!
