First Super 8 Movie

Today, I took my friends: Melissa, Mckayla, and Lindsay, to the park to shoot my first 8mm movie. I hope I didn't blow it. So, I brought them some awesome costumes, and then they just went and played on the playground in these ridiculous outfits. It was hilarious!!! I don't even care too much if the footage ends up bad, cause it was just fun making!

This also reminded me of the time we made our Enrique Iglesias video to "Hero". I still haven't edited it yet, but we sure did have fun!

I am having so much fun this year. Although my roommates are crazy, so am I; so we get along fabulously. Now we are on our way to make some brownies, do homework, and probably work some Lois & Clark in there somewhere. Hehe! How fun!

Acting!

Today, I acted out a scene in front of an audience (well, my class, at least) for the first time. I wasn't as scared as I normally would be, but still shaking. The rules were that I had to make an entrance and an exit, have three objects from home, and we had to play ourselves. It was fun watching the other people in my class, but when it was my turn, I actually enjoyed being challenged in that way.
I've only had three classes so far, and yet I have already become comfortable with the other students in the class. It has been a new and interesting experience for me, because normally I am not so open, but with these guys I feel comfortable expressing myself in crazy ways I would normally only do alone. I have even danced all crazy in front of them. And I mean full out crazy! I think this is because we are all putting ourselves out there. We accept each other for who we really are. There is no need for putting on an act (no pun intended). This seems backwards since we are in an "acting" class. Maybe acting really isn't pretending to be someone else, but all the pretending is in our everyday. Maybe acting is letting our true selves out. It's the same reason why Trekkies love to be Trekkies.
Anyways, who knows what I'll be able to do after the semester is over.
All I know is that this class with definitely help me on my way to being an amazing director.

Lois & Clark

Last year, my roommate, Jen, decided to make Lois and Clark addicts out of me and the other roommates. It wasn't very hard, because only after the second episode were we hooked. Well, with my new roommates being totally awesome and all, I decided to get them hooked for this year. Let's just say we are already onto Season 3 (my favorite season). There is no better man than Dean Cain!

I mean seriously!!!

Now, not only am I educating my roommates on cheesy television series of the 90's, but foreign films as well. Tonight we watched "He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not." One of my personal favorites. It's so incredible, and impossible to predict.
This seems really pathetic that all we do is sit in front of the television screen, but we do other things too. Today we went to Swiss days. I introduced my friends to my grandma, (who they instantly fell in love with, and her jewelry) and the culture of the Swiss. We shopped for unique handmade articles, ate scones and pie, and we listened to some barbershop, and yodels. It was a very productive day:)
